"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." - The Apostle Paul to Timothy - I Timothy 4:12
Teenagers can easily be misunderstood, under-appreciated, and generally overlooked when it comes to their contribution to society, especially the Kingdom of God. Our goal at Valley View is to engage, equip, and ultimately empower the youth of today towards the future of the church.
We believe in the Kingdom of God as a present and future reality, as we are witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus Christ in our lives.
Engagement therefore starts with the family.
We strive to encourage our families to become disciples of Christ - true followers who seek to make a difference in their community. This faithful engagement doesn’t stay within the comfort of our doors, but radiates outward into our schools, workplaces, and everyday lives.
Secondly, we seek to equip our teenagers through a deeper study of Scripture.
At Valley View, we take our Bible classes very seriously, rotating topical and textual classes that touch on everything from contemporary issues in the lives of our teens to reading and studying through Old and New Testament books.
Lastly, we seek to empower our teenagers to stay faithful once they leave the comfort of this youth group. As a result of this, we have seen numerous teenagers over the years go on to college, continue in ministry and start successful families.
Preparing for and living the Christian life touches everything we do in the Youth Group.
We welcome you to explore this transformative time with us.
