Dear Brethren,
Cindy and I returned from our recent trip to Romania on Thursday morning at 1 am. It was surely the most eventful trip I have ever made. I was so thankful to have Cindy there assisting in the work.
We arrived just in time to help with Lads to Leaders Romania. It was such a blessing to see the young people from all over Romania growing in knowledge of the Word and in their leadership abilities. Even with covid and the war in Ukraine, we still had over 90 in attendance.
At the same time many of the brethren at Cluj and Randy Simpkins and Michael Manning from America continued the work of helping Ukrainian refugees from the war in Ukraine. After L2L, we joined in the work. We have now been involved in this work since the war began in late February. We are now serving more refugees than ever before. For the Romanian brethren and the Americans who have come to help, the work has been from "Can to Can't" (If you don't know what that expression means ask an older member of your family who grew up on a farm) 6 &1/2 days a week.
We are now serving refugees in the city of Cluj as well as traveling into Ukraine to deliver food, medicine and supplies to 3 churches of Christ for further delivery into the war areas. We have also found one refugee camp and orphanages in Ukraine which are run by the churches of Christ.
Remember, if you want to help, all contributions should be sent to the "Valley View church of Christ, PO Box 16878, Jonesboro, Ar. 72403". Checks should be made to the "Valley View church Of Christ" and marked "Ukraine Relief" on the memo line. To those individuals who have already helped, Thank you so much for your support and prayers.
Yours in the Great Hope,
David Gibson
