And the walls came tumbling down…
It’s time to get ready for summer, and that means it’s time for Valley View’s annual Vacation Bible School!
This year we take you through the story of Jericho and the amazing feats performed by God through his people, the Israelites.
Kids of all ages can enjoy the accounts of Joshua and the people of Israel through lessons, plays, and hands-on exhibits. And, of course, it wouldn’t be VBS without the snacks with singing before and after the class time.
VBS starts at 6:30 on June 9th and runs through Wednesday.
The Valley View Church of Christ is proud to embark upon its 15th anniversary. It doesn’t seem to long ago that a small group from the Nettleton church decided to establish a congregation on the south side of the bypass. Now, 15 years later, we’re happy to celebrate that move, which has given us wonderful opportunities to spread the love and the word of God to the surrounding area and community as a whole.
We invite everyone in the community to join us on May 19th for a homecoming celebration! David Gibson, our founding minister, will be speaking at a special 2 p.m. service with fun & games to follow throughout the afternoon. At 4:30 p.m., we will have a huge family meal and a devotional to close out the evening.
Lads to Leaders Convention is a great experience you don’t want to miss! Our kids will be leading hundreds of people in worship. We have song leaders, speakers, puppet shows, art projects, banners, and more! Last year some of our teenagers led the Sunday morning worship service with over 2 thousand people!
Pick up a sack…or two.
Fill it with groceries on the list provided
Bring it back to the church by November 11th.
We’ll organize the sacks on Wednesday November 14th
We’ll split up and deliver them on Saturday November 17th.
If you know of someone who could use a sack of groceries for Thanksgiving, go to the registration page and add their info to our database.
We will be leaving the church at 6:00pm. We will be learning about what Jesus says about The Afterlife.
We will be working with inner city kids grades 4-6th grade. This is a great opportunity for our teens to experience working with lower income families and kids and showing them the love that God shows us every day. Scholarships are available. If you would like one please let me know asap!
I hope you can make it!! We will leave around 6:00pm.
Evangelism University is a great opportunity for our Sr. High Students to learn ways to evangelize to their friends and family members. This youth rally is for 9-12th grades and it may be the most important event we have all year. Hope you can make it!! Deadline to sign up is December 1.
CYC this year is in Pigeon Forge! This will be different from year's past and we are so excited to be going to the mountains this February! We invite our youth group (7-12th grades) and families to CYC this year in Pigeon Forge. The dates we will be going are February 23-25! Hope you can make it!
A Journey of Faith
We are honored to have as our guest speaker Hayley Smith Waldron from Nashville, Tennessee. She will be speaking on the faith journey she and Harrison are sharing.

Often times the guys really drop the ball on doing the ladies right on valentines day. This fellowship activity allows the couples to enjoy a night of entertainment that is hassle free. You and another couple sit at a table and are served. The entertainment cannot be beat!
ATTENTION: FATHERS AND DAUGHTERS!! If you are in pre K - 6th grade, the Father/Daughter banquet is for you!! It's a great opportunity for fathers to treat their favorite young ladies to a very special night of fun. The evening will consist of dinner, fellowship and games. Dress in your Sunday best or something extra special if you choose. You won't want to miss this! It's the little events like these that are remembered for a lifetime.
